Wedding Photography | Sherwood, Wisconsin

Today in Wisconsin it was 6 degrees outside with the wind chill! Brrrr! My kids & I spend lots of cuddle time today reading books and staying warm.

Snuggling up together reminded me of this fun couple; Marsha & Bill. Marsha & Bill will be getting married this Spring and I am very honored to be photographing their wedding. We had tons of fun during their engagement session, and I am happy to share the pix!

Check out the amazing light we found. So romantic:)

Marsha & Bill are a blast to hang out with! Bill has an amazing sense of humor; and Marsha is Beautiful!   I can't wait to see them in their element on their wedding day!

I don't know why, but I really like the framing of this picture with the tree in the foreground. (Or maybe it's the love-struck adorableness between the two of them!!)

This is perhaps my favorite! Their love radiated, and I couldn't help but capture such a warm moment between the two of them.

AND I also really enjoyed how much Marsha & Bill seem to have fun together. The genuinely seem to make one another over the moon happy & have a blast doing it.

Thanks for stopping by, and stay warm!!

Family Session | Sherwood, Wisconsin Photographer

Happy early Thanksgiving!!!!

It's been a long time since my last post, sorry friends! Life has been crazy busy in my little corner of the world; and let's just say I didn't do the greatest job adjusting to all the extra "stuff" on my plate(s).

You live you learn..I've learned a great deal about myself this month: (I do not handle LOTS of things at one time very well at all...). Ah well, at least now I know what to expect for next October; limits!!! So I am very happy it is November; and that I can share all the fun stuff with you that I did in October.. Weddings to post, engagement sessions, family sessions, SO MUCH STUFF!! Stick around because I will be caught up pretty quick with tons of yummy eye candy for your pleasure.

Without further ado; here is my first of the October crazyness:) A neat little family session.

Meet Matt, Morgan & Erin!

I was very excited to prepare for this session. When Erin & I had the styling consultation over the phone my creative energies skyrocketed; I couldn't wait to get out and location scout! It was a fun process; and I was glad to see the vision come together the day of the session.

We did have a few hiccups in preparing for our session....First, we needed to re-schedule once, as mother nature rained on our first scheduled date! In the end it was worth the reschedule, the weather the day of our session was pretty darn fantastic. Second: there was some wonderful corn fields in the background, and I started having nightmares about the farmers cutting it down before the session...(Which didn't happen by the way).

Third, and perhaps the more traumatic hiccup (for me anyways); the location I scouted had a last minute environmental change. The farmer who owns the land parked a big ol' yellow Bobcat with some big ol' wood piles next to the barn. The planner in me gasped at the sight of the bobcat sitting right where I wanted to shoot. (Yes, I actually "EEKED!" driving by in my car). But fortunately, I am a "prepper" (No, not the apocalyptic kind); and I visited the site a few days prior. This enabled me to change a few of the shots I originally intended to take without too much of a disruption the day of. Gladly, if fortune comes in threes all the bad luck was done and over, because come session time; everything went smoothly!!

So here is the eye candy as promised:)

Isn't Morgan adorable?!? and I just love the old barn equipment in the background. Such a timeless feeling.

This family is just too precious for words. I was so honored to witness their love for each other first hand. (Well technically if you count through my lens; then second hand!).

Oh little Morgan, that laughing smile of your makes my heart flutter:)

So here is the moment where I go on a tangent; but stick with me I promise you'll be happy you did. Erin quite possibly had the most brilliant idea ever for any family with young kiddos looking to get your pix taken...So; moms of the world here is what she did... As a reward for Morgan's cooperation with the family session; Erin gave her the opportunity to "play dress-up" for the camera! AWESOME!! I think I am adding this idea to my welcome packets for all my clients. I am envisioning, capes, favorite toy moments you name it. A definite fun way to end a session. And here are the pictures from Morgans "dress-up" time;

Ah yes, miss Morgan; being a princess is hard work!

Thanks for stopping by & Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Fall Session | Sherwood, WI Photographer

I love fall. Okay let me rephrase that: I "all-caps" LOVE fall...I love everything about it: Brisk air; colorful trees; crunchy leave sounds; Pumpkins, harvest vegetables; all the fun activities for families...Fall truly is my favorite time of year. In fact; the hubs & I got married in the fall. (Our anniversary is just around the corner: I love you Stigs!!).

With my crazy obsession for fall; I was so completely stoked to do this family session. And truly; we had amazing weather for it; beautiful colors with summer temperatures in a Wisconsin fall is almost unheard of.

Meet: Michelle, Joe & Renee.

They are the cutest (and funniest) little family! I feel very honored to call them my friends; and am so glad to have met them.

And who can resist cutie-pie Renee? This kid is so photogenic; her mama trained her well! Renee also happens to be one of my daughter's best friends! (I think I sense a photog "play-date" in the works..)

I love this sequence of Renee..

The leaves just seem to glow; don't they? And of course Renee's happy and radiating face adds to that sunshine-y feelin':)...

Adorable aren't they? Thank you Michelle, Joe & Renee for such a fun time!

If you haven't noticed; I am slightly obsessed with leaves; and I made the post from this session reflect that...however there are plenty of other awesome pics (without leaves!) of this family to be shared on the Facebook page soon.

Happy Fall y'all:) Thanks for stopping by!

Calvin's Senior Session | Oshkosh, WI Photographer

I am so excited to share this post! I've been blogging on the back burner the last few weeks as I re-entered the daycare school year. (Yes; I am crazy and operate two businesses.). With the daycare needs taking the driver seat; blogging awesome photos had to wait.

Happily; daycare is in full swing (No longer driving my crazy train!) and I am ready to gain some balance to my life: put more focus on photography. For my first fall post I wanted to introduce to you Calvin & his senior session. Calvin is an amazing guy who attends high school in Oshkosh. [As a former graduate of UWO; I happen to LOVE Oshkosh. GO TITANS!]. So when I had the opportunity to work with Calvin came along; I was very excited.

Meet Calvin!

Calvin is a neat & funny guy who has a contagious smile. I had to try very hard to not laugh while taking his pictures; this senior knows how to make people laugh.

For Calvin's session we visited a neighboring farm. I want to give a big thanks to Troy Radloff Farms & Family for letting us use your amazing property for the morning! (Personally, I couldn't be happier with the location; being a small town girl myself; animals and country views make me feel right at home). .

Without further ado; Here are some of the images from Calvin's session.

Love those eyes!

I always like me some serious faces when shooting senior guys,

But having a good laugh is just as nice. (I know the mom's think so!)

Well done Calvin, Well Done.

And yes; the cows did good too... Happy Monday; Thanks for popping over y'all. (cows bring out the drawl apparently).
